I specialise in photographing families and events with a focus on natural moments, clear storytelling, and a reliable, professional experience. From relaxed family sessions to busy event days, I work calmly and attentively to deliver images you can trust—photographs that feel genuine and stand the test of time.

My journey into photography began quite a while back when I was at sixth form, and I was given a Minolta film camera from my parents as a birthday present – a camera I still have today. From those early days, photography taught me the value of patience, timing, and paying close attention to real moments as they happen. Those principles continue to shape the way I work now.  Although my career initially took me through university and law school, photography remained a constant interest. Any trip away was an excuse to be drawn back to cameras and image‑making, refining my eye and deepening my appreciation for honest, well‑observed photographs.

A significant turning point came after my wife and I married.  We started a family, moved to Sevenoaks and then in an unexpected turn I became the stay‑at‑home parent. With young children, I found myself photographing family life extensively – everyday routines, celebrations, milestones, and the quiet moments in between. Over time, it became clear that this was where my strengths lay: capturing genuine moments in a natural and unobtrusive way. As my children grew older and I gained more time, I decided to focus more intentionally on photography, particularly photographing families and events. Years of documenting real life as it unfolded have shaped my approach. I understand how important it is for people to feel comfortable, relaxed, and able to be themselves in front of the camera—especially during family occasions and important events.

When working with families, my aim is to create photographs that feel authentic rather than posed, preserving connections, expressions, and interactions that reflect who people truly are and how they interact. At events, I work calmly and discreetly, focusing on telling the story of the day as it naturally happens, while ensuring key moments are captured with care and attention. Clients can expect a thoughtful, reliable, and personable approach. I take the time to understand what matters most to the people I photograph and work in a way that allows them to enjoy the moment, confident that it is being documented properly. The goal is always to deliver images that feel honest, timeless, and meaningful – photographs that will still resonate years down the line.

Photography has been part of my life for decades now, evolving from early enthusiasm into a focused and professional practice. Today, it allows me to combine experience, creativity, and a genuine enjoyment of working with people to create lasting records of family life and important events.
